The Most Powerful Programming Event Currently Available to Schools and Organizations Drum Trail is a highly interactive program chronicling the history of the universe and our rhythmic interaction as inhabitants of Planet Earth. With over forty years' drumming experience, Bill Pate designed Drum Trail to be informative, motivating and spiritually uplifting. Since joining Poison Free in early 2009, Bill has also added that organization's "Positive Peer Pressure" message, helping students in all grades levels to accept responsibility for themselves and appreciate their influence over their friends and classmates. Pate will tailor his message to be age-appropriate to any age school, church, social services or civic group. A drummer since 1967, Bill first began delivering his message in High School music classes in 1976, and has since taken the beat to thousands of people of all ages. Schools, libraries and clients in the corporate world have all benefited from the entertaining and energizing opportunity to take part in engaging in - and furthering - our world's eternal heartbeat. Bill brings the message that "we're all born artists" and then augments it by welcoming his audiences to lose their inhibitions, attain a higher pulse, and move on in their lives with a faith in universal oneness. Along the way he also chronicles the history of percussion, percussive instruments, and the role they've played in our evolution.
Drum Trail culminates with audience members invited onstage to perform as an impromptu "Drum Orchestra" with Bill transforming their rhythms into a unifying song. With or without any musical background, Bill makes sure that his audience as well as his "bandmates-for-the-day" all have a memorable - and motivating - experience. DrumTrail programs end with recitation of the DrumTrail Promise: I am a good person, a smart person who knows What's right and what's wrong and the difference between those I'm strong and I'm brave, I know where I come from And I know because I follow the beat of my own drum For Booking Info:
